Job Summary

This position works with guidance from the supervisor to prepare and present routine reports and occasionally lead routine problem-solving efforts. The position will maintain effective working relationships with others.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

•Performs assigned task with guidance from supervision •Assemble and collate issue specific information to support studies•Assist in organization and occasionally lead assigned projects •Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment•Prepare and present routine reports  •Participate in special projects, committee assignments and routine problem - solving efforts as requested

•Maintain station VFDs. , SCADA (ABB DCS) and PLC Systems, Wonderware, PLC: Allen Bradley and GE.

•Understand the design and application of plant electrical, instrumentation and controls with experience in the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of these items.

•Design, build, test, and maintain equipment that automates the monitoring and control of machinery

•Program, troubleshoot and make modifications to DCS, PLC and HMI systems.

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Industrial, Nuclear) from an accredited program.•Minimum 2 yrs. related job experience•Experience with DCS and/or PLC hardware, logic programming and troubleshooting.

•Teamwork and collaboration skills within the team/department•Effective written and verbal communication skills.•Maintain effective working relationships within the team/department•Basic understanding of power generation operations.•Basic understanding of economic drivers to the business.•Apply basic problem solving techniques to address routine issues
