Job Description:

Position Summary: 

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all mail processing equipment; including inserters, folders, bursters.  This individual assist in perform maintenance on all mail center equipment. 

Responsibilities: 

• Set up, operate and adjust a variety of mailing service equipment 

• Minor repairs on mailing service equipment 

• Analyzes the cause of equipment malfunction and makes correction operational ajecjustment and minor repairs to allow continuance of operations 

• Receives and organizes materials to be processed 

• Other duties as assigned 

Job Qualifications and Requirements: 

• Previous work experience in the operation of equipment used in the preparation and processing of materials for mailing strongly preferred 

• High school diploma or equivalent 

• Mechanical aptitude 

• Knowledge of U.S. postal rules and regulations 

• Basic oral and written communications skills 

• Ability to handle changing priorities and meet deadlines
