EMR Data Specialist   

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:        

• Electronic Medical Record data specialist
  • Monitor data required for state/CCBHC reporting.
  
  
  • Provide direct/indirect support to staff to correct data errors.
  
  
  • Create process to track individual employee error rates.
  
  
  • Troubleshoot/correct errors/issues of concern from employees/supervisors.
  
  
  • Create/track tickets with EMR support to address/resolve system issues.
  
  
  • Work with EMR Specialist in creating employee accounts and EMR assignments.


• Work alongside IT Manager/EMR Specialist in meeting state/CCBHC reporting requirements


• Cross train with IT as a backup for specific systems


• Communicate areas of concern to supervisors and staff
  
  • Identify problematic trends in documentation, billing, or other areas and aid in problem solving.
  
  
  • Build relationships with all depts to aid in communication flow—focus on Compass as a whole.
  
  
  • Work closely with billing and QI departments on related issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Age 21+ years old and have High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills


• Excellent organizational and time management skills – attention to detail is critical.
