Responsible for the support and the timely process through which end user issues and/or system problems are controlled. Maintains, analyses, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Administer and/or maintain specified systems. Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups. Provides support in the administration and implementation of corporate-wide information security services. Installs, test, configures and maintains information security programs. Provides technical guidance and queuing analysis.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Install, test, configure and maintain Information Security systems including, but not limited to: SEIM, IDS/IPS, network firewalls, HIDS, malware analysis and protection, content filtering, logical access controls, identity and access management, data loss prevention, content filtering technologies, application firewalls, vulnerability scanners, LDAP, forensics software and security incident response
Perform support and administration for Information Security related systems
Insure proper maintenance of all Information Security systems
Administer the setup of users and Information Security functions
Evaluate performance of all Information Security systems
Assist in incident response activities as needed
Assist in the planning and development of new security measures for implementation within the infrastructure of the company
Perform proper data backup, storage and recovery tasks
Provide high quality user support to staff
Hardware and software issue resolution
Evaluation of potential system enhancements
Coordination of internal and external resources
Assist other members of Information Technology Department
Provide technical training in best practices and guidelines to Information Security staff
Develop analysis, Information Security reports and MIS for roll-up to management
Develop and evaluate Information Security procedures. Provide recommendations for changes or updates.
Complete annual individual work plan
Provide Information Security project management. Ensure proper planning of projects
Complete change control documentation for changes/moves, etc.
Ensure proper documentation is completed for assigned projects or projects being managed
Ensure proper disaster recovery procedures are followed
Skills and Qualifications
Requires at least a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
Preferred candidates would also have 1 – 2 years of applicable experience.
Firewall/VPN Management, Intrusion Prevention Technologies, Wireless Security and Email Security.
Familiarity of controls frameworks PCI, ISO27001 and ISO27002.
CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+ certification, PMP, MCP or equivalent
Must be able to demonstrate basic LAN/WAN skills.
