About the Opportunity:

Job Purpose:
Coordinates the shipping paperwork and transactions, runs daily backlog report, works with the Traffic Specialist to ensure timely and cost-effective routes for Life Fitness.
Essential Job Functions:
Coordinates shipment to distribution center, 3rd party shipments, and occasionally international
Schedules containers/pickups while verifying product availability
Provides proactive communication between Planning and Production and the Distribution center
Complete proper documentation of crates for all International shipments
Coordinates consolidation of orders and initiates all necessary paperwork
Ensures all shipping transactions are performed in a timely manner each day
Contacts requested forwarders to set up pickups for International or Section 3's
Prepares proper export and shipping documentation for all product going International
Works with shipping team to ensure all international shipping and paperwork requirements are relayed and understood
Relays special shipping instructions and coordinates consolidation of orders from other facilities shipping departments
Completes dock receipts, export declarations, bill of lading, and other necessary paperwork
Performs back-up responsibilities to the Traffic Specialist
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills Needed:
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Good organizational skills
Strong customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communication
Computer experience
Must be self-motivated and a team player
Must be able to effectively communicate with management and other team members
Preferred
1-3 years of related experience
Knowledge of shipping procedures, practices, and preferred routes
Prior international shipping experience
Working Conditions:
Required to sit and input data for extensive periods of time. Must be able to work extended hours if required as transactions and data must be completed before the end of the day. Noise level in the office area is generally moderate.
