Hendrickson is searching for a Project Engineer to join our Global Engineering team. Your work will contribute to the success of our projects, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented group of engineers. This role is part of the Truck Commercial Vehicle Systems division in Woodridge, IL.
This individual will:
Manage all technical aspects of multiple and/or major projects utilizing the Product Planning and Development Procedure.
Designs, validates, provides test reports and sign-off documents, and ensures production readiness.
Coordinates with CAD, FEA and laboratory personnel and interfaces with other departments in support of the above.
Coordinates the technical design and test aspects on projects with suppliers and customers.
Provides continuous improvement through employee development, process improvement and elimination of waste.
Helps to assure safety in the lab and office.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
Bachelor of Science degree in technical discipline required.
BSME/BSAgE/BS preferred.
4+ years' experience in vehicle structural design (preferable heavy or medium duty truck) with exposure to dynamic structural analysis, finite element analysis, fatigue analysis, and product design.
Demonstrated product innovation.
Project management experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to meet product development deadlines.
Physical Demands of this role include:
Frequent sitting and working at computer for extended periods of time.
Occasional standing and walking on concrete.
Occasional climbing stairs and fixed/vertical ladders.
Ability to lift and carry up to 60lbs.
Ability to push/pull carts (minimal 25lbs) and parts (minimal 60lbs).
Ability to drive as required.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
