Position Summary A general maintenance supports operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment. As a team they work to minimize manufacturing machine downtime using corrective and preventive maintenance. Position Responsibilities:
Installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment.
Installs, maintains, and repairs facility related equipment including: access control systems, fire alarm systems, and gas generator systems.
Completes preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on various types of equipment.
Ability to safely troubleshoot and perform basic electrical repairs.
Operates/maintains machine shop equipment, hand tools, measuring, and diagnostic equipment.
Documents completed repairs.
Fabricates, rebuilds, designs, and installs machine parts.
Mechanical installation and troubleshooting of oil lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems including piping.
Maintain compressed air and drying equipment.
Installation and troubleshooting of electrical motors and controls.
Constructs electrical control panels from various schematics.
Implement ways to reduce costs, increase productivity, and eliminate waste.
Identify, requisition, and track supplies required to complete assignments.
Follows safe working practices and procedures.
All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Experience and Education:
HSD or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of blueprints and schematics
Prior experience in a manufacturing setting, with Machine PMs and troubleshooting
Ability to be Forklift certified
