The Department of Cell Biology has an outstanding opportunity for laboratory technician focused on cell biology, optogenetics, and optical recording. This position has the potential to become a strong foundational research experience that can lead to success in graduate school OR become a long-term position with the possibility for advancement.
About the Gong Lab: The Neurotoolbox Lab conducts NIH and NSF-funded research to develop tools that help understand the brain. The lab records or controls neural activity by creating and engineering protein tools, microscopes, and machine learning-based analysis techniques. These tools can access hundreds to thousands of neurons simultaneously to discover neural circuit function. We seek passionate scientists or scientists-in-training to add to the scientific and personal diversity of the lab. Join us to contribute to our exciting journey in understanding the brain!
Duties:
Required Education: High School Diploma.
Preferred: Associate's Degree in a Biological or Physical Science.
