Job Description:
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial information to support business decisions. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger accounts, journal entries, and financial statements.
Job costing, WIP Reporting, inventory control.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
Provide financial analysis and reports to management as needed.
Stay updated with accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
BA Degree in Accounting and Finance is preferred
2-4 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay: $33.00 - $38.46 per hr.
