The Quality and Safety Critical Care Supervisor (QSCCS) for Respiratory Services acts in conjunction with the Respiratory Department, along with all Quality Improvement leaders and key Florida stakeholders, to provide support for multidisciplinary teams working on improving safety concerns. These teams are leading a variety of quality improvement and safety initiatives with a targeted focus on achieving results that improve key care processes and clinical quality outcomes. The position serves to support the facilitation including planning, implementation, and coordination, of multidisciplinary teams and their work related to clinical improvement as well as the sustainment of these improvements. In order to achieve the targeted results this position will coordinate, identify, develop, promote, and supports implementation projects identified by the Respiratory Department and the Clinical areas it supports. This position works with leaders of the respiratory, clinical units and quality improvement teams to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met. This position will also support the Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Improvement Committee, a segment of the Medical Staff governance structure. The QSCCS will have familiarity using SPS tools and other techniques that are applied to achieve targeted and sustainable outcome improvements of UE's, UD's and pressure injuries. This position works under general supervision of the Respiratory Department and is required to effectively apply initiative and independent judgment as part of their approach.
Responsibilities:
3. Daily review of documentation with the goal of improved reimbursement and accuracy of patient care.
4. Work directly with the Respiratory Leadership team to provide on the spot coaching to staff, to elevate the performance of the respiratory department and ensure safe care is being delivered.
5. Apply appropriate quality improvement and safety analytical tools and methodologies to identify improvement opportunities and advance rapid cycle improvement (i.e. PDSA, FMEA, SPS Bundles, reliability science , process flow mapping, dashboards utilization, key driver diagrams and run charts, etc.).
