SUMMARY



Bering Global Solutions (BGS), LLC a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is seeking


a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as a Project Manager (PM) and Strength and Conditioning Coach. This unique role combines managing high-performance (HP) programs for tactical athletes and providing comprehensive strength and conditioning training. The successful candidate will be responsible for fighter pilots' performance, program unity, collaboration, and physical preparation. This work will incorporate job-specific conditioning, cutting-edge HP technology, and easy-access to prehab & rehab physical therapy.


As part of the broader Human Performance team, the Project Manager/Strength and Conditioning will work closely with one or more Strength and Conditioning Coaches, Cognitive Performance Specialists, and Performance Dietitians to help student pilots and/or instructor pilots to perform optimally and remain physically and mentally able to perform. At a minimum, the program will address chronic neck and back pain, increased cognitive demands of modern flying operations, and the need for holistic resiliency. Responsibilities




ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management:


  • Manage the performance and daily operations of the HP program, ensuring program unity and collaboration.
  • Provide professional, administrative, and technical support during program implementation and execution.
  • Assist the 19 AF CRAFT Program Director with planning, scheduling, execution, and validation of the flying training HP program.
  • Organize, collect, analyze, and present statistical information related to program effectiveness.
  • Recommend changes to program content based on staff and student feedback.
  • Manage data produced during course development and execution.
  • Oversee partner program on-boarding, curriculum, and assist with execution.
  • Ensure compliance with performance standards, task completion, specialty service delivery, and roles and responsibilities outlined in the PWS.
  • Train administrative users and manage data management system access and inputs.


Strength and Conditioning:


  • Develop and implement fitness programs to prepare fighter pilots for combat aviation.
  • Employ a holistic approach to training, incorporating prehab, performance training, and strength & conditioning.
  • Assist in rehabilitation with a "return-to-fly" mindset when necessary.
  • Provide instruction, demonstration, and application of physical training principles.
  • Build rapport with clients and motivate them to achieve higher levels of performance.
  • Utilize relevant technologies to support the training program and improve client performance.
  • Deliver briefings, educational sessions, and seminars as needed.
  • Research and employ best practices in strength and conditioning.
  • Maintain professional credentials and certifications.


Qualifications




QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO's)




Project Manager Requirements:


  • Minimum 5 years of tactical athlete HP program experience.
  • 8 years of leadership and management experience with efforts of similar size and complexity.
  • Graduate degree in a field relative to managing personnel and resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • 3 years of data administration experience.


Strength and Conditioning Coach Requirements (Level-based):




Level 1:


  • 3 combined years of tactical athlete HP experience or equivalent.
  • Undergraduate degree in Human Performance, Kinesiology, or Exercise Science.
  • NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or equivalent; NSCA Tactical Strength and Conditioning (TSAC) Facilitator encouraged.


Level 2:


  • 5 combined years of tactical athlete HP experience or equivalent.
  • Undergraduate degree in Human Performance, Kinesiology, or Exercise Science (Master's degree preferred).
  • NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or equivalent; NSCA Tactical Strength and Conditioning (TSAC) Facilitator encouraged.


Level 3:


  • 7 combined years of tactical athlete HP experience or equivalent.
  • Graduate degree in Human Performance, Kinesiology, or Exercise Science.
  • NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or equivalent; NSCA Tactical Strength and Conditioning (TSAC) Facilitator encouraged.


Level 4:


  • 9 combined years of tactical athlete HP experience or equivalent.
  • Graduate degree in Human Performance, Kinesiology, or Exercise Science.
  • NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or equivalent; NSCA Tactical Strength and Conditioning (TSAC) Facilitator encouraged.


Level 5:


  • 12 years or greater of combined tactical athlete HP experience or equivalent.
  • Graduate degree in Human Performance, Kinesiology, or Exercise Science.
  • NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or equivalent; NSCA Tactical Strength and Conditioning (TSAC) Facilitator encouraged.




Preferred


  • PMP certification

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Hires and supervises direct reports.
  • Supervisory responsibilities over five employees


ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
