Job Summary:In collaboration with the adult education & literacy (AEL) director and in accordance with the Texas Workforce Commission, provide specialized and technical support to the curriculum review process to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory and Adult Education & Literacy (AEL) grant requirements.
*This is a 100% grant-funded position. Therefore, the continuation of the position is subject to continued external funding.**
Required Qualifications:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Effectively lead and coordinate program curriculum and instruction, inclusive of face-to-face and remote learning.
Develop specialized curriculum for career pathway models, coach new and existing faculty and guide overall service delivery including implementation of the current and future Texas AEL Content Standards and guidance related to Career Pathways,
Review curriculum descriptions and documents for accuracy and compliance with various interrelated rules, codes, policies, and procedures established by the college, regulatory entities, and accreditation agencies.
Enter approved curriculum related documentation into internal and/or external databases. Work collaboratively with the college's curriculum coordinator or specialist to produce and maintain a variety of reports, lists, and databases related to curriculum and assessment.
Assist in the development and maintenance of the college catalog. Confer with academic professionals to maintain program descriptions and degree requirements in the college catalog, web pages and intranet sites.
Maintain accurate curricular documentation and make curricular information accessible to external agencies, as well as AEL faculty, staff, and students.
Ensure quality control and compliance through periodic review of all curricular information included in internal and public information management systems, consistent with curricular approvals by external agencies. Collaborate across college departments and with external agencies to resolve issues.
Serve in curriculum-related committees, as assigned.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of experience in higher education.
Preferred
Familiarity with post-secondary curriculum maintenance.
