The Assistant Athletic Trainer is responsible for performing professional and administrative services essential for the successful implementation of the sports medicine program.
OUTCOMES:
Provision of suitable health care and sports medicine services for intercollegiate student-athletes.
Provision of a healthy athletic training environment, conducive to positive athletic and academic results.
Essential Functions
Athletic Training 80%
Provide athletic training services for intercollegiate athletics through scheduled training room hours, in attendance at team practices and home and away competitions, as well as in emergency and other necessary-care circumstances.
Administrative Assistance 20%
Assist in sports medicine record keeping and documentation.
Experience and Education Required
Graduate of a CAATE accredited athletic training program. Master's degree preferred but not required.
BOC certification.
Eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Current CPR/AED certification.
Familiarity with NCAA governing rules.
Certified experience in collegiate athletics preferred.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Ability to work effectively in a collegiate setting with student-athletes, other athletic trainers, coaches, administrators, faculty, staff, and allied providers.
Excellent organization, communication (verbal, interpersonal, and written), attention to detail, and customer relations skills.
