(Contingent upon available funding): 46,450.00 - 60,750.00, Salary Work Schedule: 8:00am to 5:00pm weekends as needed Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: The Wes Watkins Center for International Trade Development at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a full-time policy analyst position. The position will receive support from partnerships in the US, South Korea, and Japan and work in a multidisciplinary team to produce tri-lateral energy security research deliverables. The position is an opportunity to acquire expertise in working with private-sector clients and applied social science research in geopolitics, energy policy, and economics. The team carries the expectation of excellence in extension and research commensurate with the land grant mission of Oklahoma State University.The successful candidate is expected to (a) collaborate toward producing high-quality research output for clients (b) travel to locations within Oklahoma and internationally to assist with the development and execution of the research projects (c) engage with private sector clients and research institute partners to further develop and refine research agenda, collaborate in the production of deliverables, and disseminate findings (d) provide project management support for research projects. Required Qualifications:


Bachelor's in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field and two years of experience in policy research, analysis, or related roles. Demonstrated expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods. Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and concise reports and presentations. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively.


Required Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge include:



  • Computer proficiency: Familiarity with statistical software and ability to learn others as needed

  • Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, organizational and supervisory skills

  • Commitment to excellence in service while working with students, faculty, and university officials from varied cultural backgrounds

  • Effective and professional problem-solving

  • Flexibility in work assignments Professional presentation style



Preferred Qualifications:


Master's degree in International Energy Security. Five years of experience in policy research, analysis, or related roles. Proficiency in Korean and/or Japanese. Knowledge of energy markets/security. Track record of publications or presentations on public policy issues. Leadership experience, including project management and team coordination.
