As a Paint and Machine ShopMaster Scheduler, you will act as the liaison between the operation and sales teams performing critical functions managing the supply chain. You will work daily with supply chain, manufacturing, and sales to ensure master production schedules are created and maintained to meet customer request dates. The professional in this position will be a critical component in building the Mueller capabilities at the Kimball facility. This is a unique opportunity to build the operation through the implementation of systems, processes, and production schedules.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for Make vs Buy Strategy for Kimball.
Maintain day to day communication between Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to manage the production of machined and painted parts schedule.
Create the monthly and weekly production requirements and inventory plans that fulfill demand requirements
Translate the Supply Plan into the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Perform Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) for the master production schedule
Create and communicate the MPS for finished goods and/or intermediates at the SKU/end item level for the MPS horizon of 0-3 months at the weekly level
Act on order release actions and exception messages from the company system
Identify and resolve conflicts with supply and demand and available capacity for the MPS horizon
Model "what if" scenarios to evaluate proposed MPS changes to determine impact
Analyze sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements
Participate in the S&OP and represent the MPS and relationship to the aggregate supply plan
Execute policies related to the master scheduling and supply planning processes
Maintain ideal inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries, while maximizing turns, and minimizing carrying costs
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Perform a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Understand the dynamics of effective teamwork to attain higher levels of performance
Understand lean manufacturing and demonstrate various lean practices

Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) functionality to support master scheduling process
Required Education/Experience:
BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, business, or technical field - OR - a minimum of 10 years relevant functional experience (asset scheduling, distribution planning, material planning, production planning)
Demonstrated Basic Financial acumen.
Five years of machine shop management/scheduling experience
Demonstrated Risk Awareness and Mitigation
Demonstrated Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
Preferred:
JDE E1 or similar ERP experience
APICS CPIM certification
Operations, scheduling, and planning experiences
Fusion Bond Paint experience
Valve manufacturing experience
Experience with Solidworks, AutoCAD, PTC CREO, and Windchill
