Maintenance Mechanic at Lands End Inc

Job Description:

We have two full-time, benefited opportunities available to join our maintenance team at our Reedsburg location—one for the 1st shift and another for the 2nd shift. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, and the wage will be based on relevant background. These positions require strong technical and mechanical repair skills. Responsibilities include general maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, accurate record-keeping, and maintaining parts inventory.


1st shift and 2nd shift opening


(+ 2nd shift premiums $1.00/hr.)


Position Summary:



  • Identify and provide preventive maintenance and repairs on all Lands’ End Equipment.

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

  • Respond to work orders to analyze and repair conveyors, product sortation equipment, and general building maintenance.

  • Complete work orders with accurate information, including time and materials used.

  • Maintain parts inventory and monitor the usage of parts used for assigned systems of responsibility.

  • Work Overtime and Weekends when needed.

  • Safety - Learns and complies with all company safety rules; always uses appropriate safety equipment; Immediately reports all unsafe conditions to supervisors.


Essential Skills:



  • Previous experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.

  • Must have the ability to disassemble machinery, analyze defective parts, and use diagnostic skills to make required repairs to ensure uninterrupted operation of plant equipment.

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical operation, wiring safety procedures, and solid-state circuitry is a plus.

  • Experience with plumbing repair and maintenance is helpful.

  • Ability to maintain accurate up-to-date records and logs.

  • Strong background in the following is a plus:

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment; Perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines on time; Work as part of a team as well as complete assignments independently; Take instructions from supervisors; Exercise problem-solving skills; and Interact with co-workers, supervisors, guests, and the public professionally and pleasantly.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

  • Must obtain certification to operate forklifts and all Lands' End motorized vehicles.
