Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining all mechanical systems in the plant including but not limited to pumps, valves, motors, fans, and gearboxes.

Key Accountabilities:

•Assisting/performing troubleshooting of plant equipment, preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure proper functioning, daily maintenance, construction, demolition, overhauls, repair /replacement and removal/installation of plant equipment and structures.•Utilization of skills for maintaining equipment at the plant•Utilizes/operates various types of hand, power, precision or machine tools necessary to support safe and productive work environments.•Maintains a working knowledge of all rotating equipment, motors, and valves•Understands and follows current safety and environmental regulations necessary to conduct all phases of work•Ensures strict adherence to safety, health and environmental procedures as they relate to plant operations and maintenance including but not limited to Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety and PPE

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

•2 -4 years of related experience •High School diploma or general education degree (GED) •Demonstrate standard computer based skills•Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills• All applicants must be a successful candidate on the Plant Operator Selection System/Power Plant Operations and Maintenance (POSS / MASS) program in order to be considered a candidate for this position. POSS / MASS exams are administered on an as-needed basis by Human Resources.**LEVEL OF POSITION WILL BE DETERMINED BY APPLICABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE.

Key Metrics:

•Progression of skill within primary skill set.  •Satisfactory completion of Tier 2 job performance measures predominately composed of Sign-offs of demonstrating different primary and auxiliary system operations and maintenance relevant to primary skill.•Demonstrate continual self improvement in job skills and knowledge.
