We are searching for a Value Stream Manager who is a collaborative leader and persistent problem-solver.

The Value Stream Manager will manage the revenue plan for the Laser Fusion Optics value stream and safely lead the team to sustainably achieve business goals. The position will report directly to the Director, Operations and will collaborate with the operations team to determine and plan factory priorities, ensure backlog is dated and financial commitments are met, attend production meetings and Gemba walks, manage cross training and succession planning opportunities, ensure a positive employee relations environment, and optimize the resource base, workflow and information flow in order to meet or exceed the team's quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Partnering with site and functional management to recruit, develop, and retain talented team members and ability to analyze capacity, bottlenecks and justify labor and capital resources is critical to success.

What You'll Bring


  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, industrial or mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years leading a manufacturing/operations team to achieve results in a low volume/high mix environment.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Lean and 6S methodology.
  • Ability to optimize the throughput of value streams by identifying and solving first pass yield, cycle time, and equipment uptime problems, and by eliminating waste.
  • A robust focus on safety and quality first.
  • Collaborative style to work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, customers, program and business managers.
  • Problem-solving mindset that will proactively take initiative to address bottlenecks and implement solutions.
  • Your drive to achieve and customer focus.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and development skillset that motivates and drives team performance.
  • A proactive communication style.

What's Nice to Have


  • Optical manufacturing and metrology.

  • Knowledge of sub-aperture polishing, optical finishing processes, 3 omega Laser, acid etching, ISO surface quality strongly preferred.
