The Role:



The Manager, U.S. Benefits will be responsible for all aspects of the health, welfare, and retirement savings programs in the U.S. This role involves ensuring the efficient administration of health and welfare plans, retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, and other related benefits. The Manager, U.S. Benefits works closely with HR, finance, and external vendors to ensure compliance with regulations, cost-effectiveness, and employee satisfaction.



Responsibilities:



  • Vendor management for all benefit vendors, addressing escalations, and serving as the lead for day-to-day activities, compliance with applicable legislation and contracts, and projects.

  • Project management for key activities such as Open Enrollment and compliance activities such as Form 5500s, SARs, legal notices, ACA forms, PCORI, COBRA, non-discrimination testing, and plan document/SPD maintenance.

  • Workday Benefits Module maintenance, life event management and payroll interfaces.

  • Providing direction and oversight to the Benefits Specialist, including review and approval of benefit invoice payments.

  • Serving as the US benefits subject matter expert.

  • Assisting with benefit RFPs and vendor selection, contract review and performance guarantee enforcement.

  • Leading communications efforts regarding US benefit programs, to increase awareness and improve plan participation, staying abreast of regulatory changes and mandated disclosures.

  • Collaborating with HR Business Partners and coordinators, HRIS team and legal staff, among others, to ensure proper communications and partnerships.

  • Managing the employee leave process, parental leave policy, executive benefits, and Adoption and Surrogacy Program.




Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of five years' progressive experience in Human Resources with at least three years in a US benefits capacity.

  • Solid knowledge of health, retirement, disability and leave plans and applicable regulations, as well as good working knowledge of tax and legal issues with respect to benefits.

  • Strong analytical skills, sense of urgency, attention to detail and accuracy, well-organized and able to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-performing, and client focused environment.

  • Experience dealing with people at all levels of an organization, getting and giving often complex and sensitive information in both verbal and written communications.

  • Excellent communication skills (listening, speaking, writing) and Microsoft Office proficiency.

  • An ability to build long-term, trusting relationships with employees, suppliers, and HR colleagues.




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced degree and/or equivalent benefits certification preferred.

  • Experience working in a global professional services company is preferred.

  • Administrative familiarity with Workday Benefits Module preferred.
