Summary:



Martin Marietta's Magnesia Specialties Division is seeking a Sales Coordinator to support the order entry and fulfillment process within the Raleigh divisional headquarters. Reporting to the Director of Chemical Sales, this in office role involves interfacing with external customers and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless sales cycle.



Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for inbound domestic and international sales and customer service support with established customers, with no cold call requirements.

  • Accountable for entering customer orders into the ERP system and coordinating shipment logistics (truck, rail, and export) until the delivery is successful.

  • Directly engage with customers, providing value-added support to enhance their overall experience.

  • Partner with commercial and manufacturing team members to handle periodic account actions, including pricing notifications, sample requests, regulatory inquiries, quality issues, and specific billing questions.

  • Assist in the setup of new customers and managing existing customer information within the ERP system.

  • Assemble and distribute relevant sales and order reports to the organization.

  • Other duties as assigned.




Requirements:



• The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience in an account support role, demonstrating a customer-centric mindset and order processing ability.


• The ability to work both independently and with cross-functional teams is essential.


• Strong administrative skills are required, including proficiency in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.


• Capability of performing multiple tasks and effectively prioritizing while maintaining attention to detail.


• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills are important for success in this role, including the ability to address critical issues that require immediate attention.



Preferred Skills:



  • Associate's degree or higher

  • International shipping experience working with a customs broker

  • Experience working with ERP systems - JDE, SAP, etc.

  • Expert level proficiency of Microsoft Excel
