Manages the day-to-day operations of a small or medium-sized university program or department. May supervise staff employees, student workers, programs or processes.
The Program Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the HEALTH-RCMI Investigator Development Core (IDC). The Program Manager will plan, develop, and implement methods for program implementation and administration in accordance with IDC objectives, such as, the Pilot Grant Program (PGP) and Innovative Research Talk (IRT). The Program Manager will also prepare reports, coordinate meetings and communications, and assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures and processes of the IDC. Desired attributes include: (1) demonstrated evidence of strong program management skills, (2) experience in managing and facilitating multiple grant-related timelines simultaneously, and (3) biomedical or health-related knowledgebase.

Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: No experience required.
