Job Description:


Job Summary




To maximize customer profitability from FSIG and FI relationships, contribute to origination, structuring, and execution of fund finance transactions including but not limited to Fund level financing. Maintain governance and oversight of the Global Fund Finance book.


Business



Responsible for:

• Support senior transactors to originate, lead, structure and execute transactions that fit the overall Fund Finance mandate for FSIG and FI clients;
• Achieve the quantitative and qualitative performance objectives set for the Fund Finance business;
• Cultivate client relationships & prospect new financing opportunities through premier product & solution offering;
• Support the development of new products and new structures to meet client needs and market trends;
• Represent SC Fund Finance in the marketplace; provide connectivity with banks and market partisans of the products covered;
• Establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders and relevant segment and product partners to efficiently and effectively deliver the product to our clients; maximize return by cross selling to other product groups; and
• Monitoring of the global portfolio; ensure fund finance business conforms to the Global Underwriting Guidelines, the relevant Product Program Guidelines, and all policies and procedures.
• Prepare financial models, credit memos, documentation to support contemplated transactions;

• Portfolio maintenance, track and review processes.


Risk Management


• Balance financial performance with proper risk mitigation and compliance-driven culture;
• Assume accountability for credit risk of subscription finance and other fund finance transactions in conjunction with GAMs and coverage teams.


Governance


• Follows Operating Procedure and Framework for Fund Finance business.
• Adherence to Group's policies and procedures.
• Ensure business model adheres to SCB values.

Qualifications





  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial and/or investment banking or associated disciplines
  • Comprehensive knowledge of lending products, including subscription finance industry experience
  • Broad financing and capital markets product experience
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and credit underwriting skills
  • Prior execution experience; working with internal and external counterparties, including clients, legal counsels, peer banks and investors
  • Experience in reading, negotiating, and interpreting legal agreements, knowledge of security law in multiple jurisdictions
  • Market knowledge in Fund Finance market

Recruitment Assessments




Expected annual base pay range for the role is 128,000 USD to 160,000 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
