Basic Job Functions:



Responsibilities for the Detailing Supervisor include but are not limited to:

• Assisting the company sales and profit efforts by driving, directing, and leading the overall activities of the detailing team


• Align with the Detailing Group Leaders and Design/Shop Orders team to aggressively maintain the engineering department schedule in order to meet internal and external customer needs while driving quality and maintaining efficiency initiatives


• In conjunction with the Engineering Manager, participating in the strategic planning for the detailing team to meet future anticipated needs


• Maintain control of the detailing programs to ensure that the correct versions are being used to the fullest extent


• Coaching, mentoring, and developing detailing department Teammates and future Nucor leaders


• Willing and able to travel on short notice


• Willing and able to work the hours required to meet the demands of the position

Compensation Data



Detailing Supervisor weekly salary will range from $1,557/wk to $2,182/wk plus division ROA Bonus.




Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior leadership experience within the steel fabrications or steel related industry


• Bachelor's degree with a focus in Civil Engineering or Drafting


• U.S Registration as a Professional Engineer
