JOB DESCRIPTION:
The essential job function of the Utility is to assist in line start-up, remove trash and relieve when necessary.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in line set up prior to start-up.
Takes care of the trash, dumping bags, box meat, and spices.
Washes combos and places raw material flat on a conveyor belt at a rapid pace.
Assists in the department clean up and keeps work area clean.
Observes Tyson/USDA safety and sanitation rules and regulations.
Utilizes proper lifting techniques to avoid injury to themselves and others.
Wears appropriate personal protective equipment, rotates throughout all position responsibilities, operates pallet jack and performs other duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Perform routine repetitive tasks.
Read weights and scales; must have sufficient mathematical ability to perform mathematical calculations.
3 months work history with the same employer.
6 months of machine operator experience.
This location is not accepting rehires.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Physical abilities to push, pull or lift frequently up to 60 lbs.
Stand continuously and walk up to ½ mile during the shift.
Sufficient near, far, color and depth perception vision to perform operations.
Work in extremes of temperature and must be willing to become certified to operate a pallet jack.
