Overview
The OHSU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center is Oregon’s premier Level 4 epilepsy center with a state-of-the-art epilepsy monitoring unit and dedicated team of experts.
This position will be collaborating directly with the practitioners of the OHSU epilepsy program, primarily seeing patients in a clinical setting. The position will report to the Epilepsy Division Head. Duties will include:
Outpatient clinical work at .50 FTE expected to conduct four half-day sessions/week. Clinics will include in-person as well as virtual sessions. Providing patient assessments, examination, and diagnosis, work collaboratively with physician and seek direction and advice on complex issues; prescribe medications and treatment modalities focusing on seizure management, develop treatment plans and actualize them with the team and staff.
Participate in medical review and incoming referrals.
For General Neurology, this position will work at .25 FTE and expected to conduct 2 half-day sessions per week.
As part of a teaching facility, you would be expected to teach medical students and residents in the clinical setting as well as through assigned lectures to be given during the course of the year, per supervisor approval. Participate in the department needs in areas of expertise, attend meetings, serve on committees as directed.
Responsibilities
Minimum 2 years previous experience required. Preference to candidates with experience as an epilepsy specialist.
Nurse Practitioner:
Current and active Nurse Practitioner license for the Oregon Board of Nursing
Physician Assistant:
Current and active Physician Assistant license for State of Oregon
