Overview

The purpose of the Shipping & Recieving Clerk position is to coordinate the movement and control of materials in the Shipping Department in support of total customer satisfaction.



Responsibilities

  • Ensure actual materials released for shipment with shipping documentation to ensure component, count, and lot control accuracy.
  • Ensure shipping transactions daily and forward documentation to designated departments on a daily basis. Work with Customer Service representatives to resolve issues.
  • Ensure all inventory transactions are completed as the jobs are released to Shipping.
  • Minimize and support investigating Cycle Count corrections.
  • Supports looking for quotes for export shipments. Quotes should be obtained from forwarders and returned to originator in a timely manner.
  • Support creating documentation for export shipments and completed on a daily basis. This includes: Certificate of Origin, Forwarder’s Request form, Shippers Letter of Instruction form, Hazardous Declaration form, and additional documents as required by destination requirements.


Qualifications

Mandatory: High school diploma or G.E.D.

Mandatory: 2 years shipping experience including weighing, crating, boxing, skidding, strapping marking, and documentation. Intermediate command of Microsoft Office products.

  • Physically capable of occasional stooping, crouching, and reaching.
  • Physically capable of walking and standing for entire shift.
