Overview
The purpose of the Shipping & Recieving Clerk position is to coordinate the movement and control of materials in the Shipping Department in support of total customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Ensure actual materials released for shipment with shipping documentation to ensure component, count, and lot control accuracy.
Ensure shipping transactions daily and forward documentation to designated departments on a daily basis. Work with Customer Service representatives to resolve issues.
Ensure all inventory transactions are completed as the jobs are released to Shipping.
Minimize and support investigating Cycle Count corrections.
Supports looking for quotes for export shipments. Quotes should be obtained from forwarders and returned to originator in a timely manner.
Support creating documentation for export shipments and completed on a daily basis. This includes: Certificate of Origin, Forwarder’s Request form, Shippers Letter of Instruction form, Hazardous Declaration form, and additional documents as required by destination requirements.
Qualifications
Mandatory: High school diploma or G.E.D.
Mandatory: 2 years shipping experience including weighing, crating, boxing, skidding, strapping marking, and documentation. Intermediate command of Microsoft Office products.
