Role: Production Supervisor, Distribution Transformers (DT). In this role, see yourself improving people's lives as well as production processes with focus on the following:


Safety Advocacy:

  • Actively promote a safe work environment, adhering to our Zero Accidents philosophy.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly.
  • Recommend process or product improvements to enhance safety.

Team Leadership and Compliance:

  • Lead and manage production personnel, ensuring compliance with labor contracts and company policies.
  • Consistently enforce company rules and policies.
  • Review and approve time and labor clock punches to ensure timely pay for team members.

Efficient Production Coordination:

  • Collaborate with other production supervisors to synchronize processes and meet internal customer requirements.
  • Prevent capacity constraints and bottlenecks.
  • Strive to achieve departmental goals related to output, quality, and on-time delivery.

Facility Excellence and Reporting:

  • Maintain department cleanliness and order, following 5S principles.
  • Prepare relevant production reports as needed.
  • Manage departmental budget expenditures.

Employee Development and Communication:

  • Foster positive employee relationships throughout the plant.
  • Maintain open communication lines and resolve obstacles.
  • Provide training to new employees, emphasizing standardized work methods and cross-training.

Talent Enhancement:

  • Assess and assist in upgrading the department's talent base.
  • Develop employees for growth and to meet market needs.
  • Ensure proper training in the best-standardized work methods.

Requirements:

Basic:

  • Note that this position is safety-sensitive, and the drug screen includes THC testing.


Preferred:


Manufacturing Experience:

  • Ideally, candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing processes.

Supervisory Background:

  • Prior supervisory experience is advantageous.

Education:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).
  • A Bachelor's (4-year) or Associates (2-year) degree from an accredited institution adds value.

Software Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with SAP and Paylocity systems is beneficial.
  • Experience working within a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) context is a plus.

Lean Manufacturing Knowledge:

  • Understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing principles contribute to process efficiency.
