What you'll do:
Inspects carpet for defects
Mends carpet using a compressed air mending gun and punch needle
Doff/wrap rolls of carpet
Reports any hazardous conditions to supervisor
Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
Follow all established standard operating procedures
Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
Perform other tasks assigned by management
Repetitive motions of reaching, pulling, and pushing
High dust/lint content
What you have:
Must be a self-starter and be able to move from one task to another without direction.
Must be able to work independently and continue working without interrupting others.
Basic computer knowledge to enter data.
Ability to check and re-check the work of others considering accuracy, standards and learned best practices.
Ability to safely operate weaving machines, including starting and stopping the machine, threading yarn breaks, tying knots, and general maintenance.
Excellent documentation and recordkeeping skills are required.
