Join us as a Buyer / Material Planner within our Cell Therapy site at the new Rockville, MD location. You'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to positively impact changing patients' lives. What you will do:



  • Responsible for commercial and clinical-scale raw materials planning.


  • Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders using MRP while handling inventory to target valuation and turns.


  • Work proactively with Procurement and external suppliers in placing purchase orders.


  • Represent the supply chain in open purchase order meetings


  • Follow up on delivery status, evaluate the impact on the site's master production schedule, and work on prioritization.


  • Expedite, cancel, or delay orders as needed.


  • Liaise with Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Logistics and Finance.





Minimum Qualifications:



  • BS degree in business administration or related materials management field, or a science or technical undergraduate degree preferred but not required.


  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in planning, preferably in a technical/scientific arena.


  • Strong knowledge of planning, organization, and time management skills.


  • Strong knowledge of SAP, e-Procurement Systems, Internet Explorer, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, and Outlook.


  • Project Leadership Experience on cross-functional teams.


  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.


  • Must be detail-oriented and effectively handle change while providing flexibility and making timely and quality decisions.


  • Energetic and self-motivated team player/builder.





Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry would be helpful.
