Volt is immediately hiring Computer Systems Engineer in Indianapolis, IN(Hybrid).
As Computer Systems Engineer you will:
Perform system administration tasking, including troubleshooting and diagnosing software and operating system issues, for Windows and Red Hat systems.
Generate and test patches for supported systems including scripts to assist in delivering patches to end user.
Complete RMF documentation updates, cyber testing and scans.
Perform fleet support to US Navy and respond to data calls from program office.
This is a 17 Monthfull time Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Hybrid - Monday & Friday - Remote
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - In office Indianapolis**
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Required Experience:
High degree of comfort working independently at Linux command line Minimum of 6+ years of progressive technical (hands-on) experience in Linux and Windows administration proficiency.
Comfortable with patching, updating and configuring Windows and Linux systems.
Experience with device imaging (Linux & Windows) Proficient configuring and managing virtual environments.
Understanding and proficiency in implementing and maintaining system security. (Applying STIGs, general hardening, vulnerability scanning) Experience with obtaining and maintaining Authorization To Operate (ATOs) Experience with planning and designing hardware architecture and system design Capable of scripting (Bash, PowerShell) and familiar with various programming languages Strong verbal/written communications skills and ability to interact with users Knowledge of security standards, methods, and policies; risk and threat analysis; technical security safeguards; and operational security measures.
Pay Rate:$50.00 - $65.00 per hour
