We are looking for a Senior Director to manage the Post-filing Tax Services business through its next phase of growth. This position will report to the Chief Product and Innovation Officer. The objective of this business unit is to extend our client relationships beyond the tax event to post-filing services and competitively differentiate our value to the client with new marketable claims. We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader with experience building, scaling, and optimizing a tax sales and service organization and driving profitable growth. This leader will focus on growing the following business lines under Post-Filling Tax Services Umbrella: Tax Resolution, Tax Notices, and other various Tax Help use cases.
This position can be located in JH's Sarasota, FL or Jersey City, NJ corporate offices. Jackson Hewitt offers a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office (Tuesday - Thursday) and 2 from home (Monday and Friday).
What you'll do here:
Build and lead a multi-disciplinary team that executes on all phases of the delivery funnel from acquisition to fulfillment.
Implement a proven, metric-driven performance management system to track and grow business performance in all functions.
Help build scalable business processes in the sales and services functions, including evaluation, implementation, and administration of scalable software solutions.
Drive conversion of new customer leads and expand relationships with existing Jackson Hewitt clients through offer and expansion of value-added services and products.
Manage the profitability of the business, including joint creation and adherence to revenue and expense budgets.
Partner with key functions, including the marketing team to design campaigns, technology team to build systems, employee experience for talent acquisition and onboarding, and field operation partners to align the organization toward revenue and service goals.
Ensure that all processes that interface with the IRS and other relevant organizations are optimized to minimize disruptions and ensure dependable throughput.
Engage and manage all key vendor/partner relationships to support growth, scalability, and value, including contract negotiation and vendor onboarding processes.
Oversee business analytics, including evaluation of data from hundreds of thousands of IRS transcriptions to identify service and product opportunities.
Present new business use cases in significant detail for the purposes of data governance and security/privacy considerations.
Conduct regular business reviews with senior leadership, including generation of informative and compelling audience-appropriate presentations and artifacts.
Skills you'll bring for success:
5+ years of financial services leadership experience; tax and/or tax resolution industry experience is a plus
5+ years of marketing and/or sales leadership experience in a financial industry
A strong track record of successfully building/scaling a sales business, preferably in a consultative financial industry
Bachelor's Degree in business or related field preferred; MBA a plus
Plan and roadmap orientated while accounting for contingencies and emerging opportunities
Must be a proactive, hands-on people leader with a proven track record of operational performance with a high degree of accountability and integrity
Change agent with the ability to identify gaps and mobilize a team to drive continual operational improvements
Strong organizational / project management skills, the ability to develop, understand, and translate metrics into clear operational actions
Previous experience with and passionate about coaching and developing team members
