Purpose Statement
Working closely with the Supervisor, this person will be responsible to coordinate the assembly of equipment in the Cleaner product line as well as secure on-time delivery of products and parts to customers.
Job responsibilities and tasks
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Assemble Cleaner according to prints, sketches, schematics and customer requests
Operate and maintain cutting equipment used in Cleaner production
Maintain a product quality level that assures scrap/rework expenses below budgeted amount
Prepare assembled equipment for shipment by boxing and crating equipment
Transport materials safely using mobile equipment
Maintain open communication with Production Supervisor and Product Group
Continuously improve profitability through improving safety, quality, reducing manufacturing costs, reducing lead times and working as a team member
Operate machining lathe. Set-up as required to machine proper plastic parts to meet established engineering criteria
Maintain inventory cycle counting
Use of precision measuring instruments
Operate manual machine and pneumatic tools
Use computer to print jobs and prints, log inventory, receive POs
Education, professional experience and qualification preferred/required
High School education or equivalent
Computer/Business Operating System experience
Assembly and inventory control experience required
Familiar with the use of precision measiuring instruments
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
Ability to safely operate mobile equipment
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Good organization skills
Physical and Mental Qualifications
Requires ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes, welding machines, and manual/remote controlled devices using radio signals. Physical conditions for positions: Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, ascend/descend stairs, maneuver within tight spaces, and may require lifting in excess of 50 lbs. Must have visual acuity, manual dexterity, ability to endure long hours, and wear required personal protective equipment. All tasks performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
