Assistant Controller
Responsibilities & Duties:
Lead a team of accountants and accounting managers through month-end and quarter-end closes for multiple entities, including the review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
Guides financial decisions by assisting in establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the PACS Services and facility accounting functions under the supervision of the Controller.
Assist with quarterly review and annual audit process/requests with external auditors.
Interfaces with operations/stakeholders to provide ad-hoc reporting, required periodic filings, budget vs. actual analysis, scenario planning, and other reports that may be requested from time to time.
Ability to research accounting and tax compliance items and help to develop policy or plan of correction (if applicable).
Assists Controller with special projects and request for data.
Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility.
Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.
Qualification:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
5+ years public accounting experience
Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance
Detail-oriented and self motivated
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
