Description: Our client is currently seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join their team!
Scope of Role: Location: Bakersfield, CA
Hours: Mon - Sun 10 hr shifts/40hrs a week. Weekends, holidays, and hours vary
Contract Position
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Registers and pre-registers patients
Checks insurance eligibility benefits and authorizations
Collects co-payments and other patient liabilities
Ensure the proper functioning of the business unit and enhance the productivity and effectiveness of the department.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year of experience working in a hospital Patient Registration department, physician office setting, healthcare insurance company, revenue cycle vendor, and/or other revenue cycle related roles.
Two or more years of healthcare registration
Medical insurance verification experience
