Horizontal Talent is partnering with a financial institution in search of a Web Content Specialist for a hybrid contract opportunity in Chicago. This role will have the flexibility to work remote 3 days a week, with 2 days onsite. This is a fulltime contract through the end of the year.
In this Web Content Specialist role, you will manage external online content, including public and third-party websites where the institution has a presence. You will also coordinate with business areas to meet their needs and identify appropriate tools, resources, and processes for development.
The web content specialist will:
Participate in day-to-day operations of intranet, public website(s), related third-party websites, including content enhancements, troubleshooting, and ensuring adherence to relevant standards and guidelines
Coordinate with business areas to solicit, edit, and produce online content; maintain subject matter expertise necessary to facilitate this process
Coordinate with management to ensure adherence to standards and alignment with web strategy
Coordinate with content providers, internal communications staff, and management to develop new content
Ensure that deadlines are met for posting new content
We are looking for a Web Content Specialist with 1 to 3 years of professional experience and familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web-oriented technologies. Additional qualifications include:
Familiarity with web content management systems
Familiarity with analytical tools and style guides
Ability to work on multiple, deadline-driven projects in a collaborative environment
Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills
