Location: Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model (virtual and in-office) with PulsePoint sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. The Business Information Consultant Senior is responsible for serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations and providing guidance to other data analysts.
How You Will Make an Impact
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Use existing databases to track business performance.
Maintains operational inventory reporting to support Contracts Admin Unit, as well as reporting necessary to support business partners.
Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary and advanced statistical procedures.
Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for contract quality and workflow) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
Creates and publishes standard reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.
Requires taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
Make recommendations based upon data analysis.
Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership, or external customers.
Data analysis and reporting encompasses a much higher level of complexity.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 10 years business analysis experience, which should include analysis, project management, working knowledge of mainframe computer, hardware and operating systems; minimum of 3 years experience as a Business Consultant with project management skills; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Business Information tools and programming/query languages strongly preferred.
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) (prefer 4+ years).
Working knowledge of Tableau reports, dashboards and Tableau Server.
Strong proficiency with Excel as it relates to data analysis.
Ability to manipulate large sets of data strongly preferred.
PC, spreadsheet, and database skills strongly preferred
Prior Experience in Healthcare Industry is preferred.
Working knowledge of health care contracts is preferred.
Good communication skills, including written and verbal, ability to present or train, and ability to craft user support materials.
Ability to translate technical information into more business-friendly language.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $102,344 to $167,472.
