Shift | The expectation is primarily day shift Monday through Friday, however as an exempt-level position, additional hours will be required as needed to perform job duties. This position will also include on-call coverage that may include weekends and holidays. This position is hybrid. |
Job Summary |
* This is a remote role with some travel to Lexington, Kentucky.* The EHR Analysts – Revenue Cycle Applications will be responsible for executing the system development life cycle (SDLC) of a new electronic health record in regards to billing. .This includes but is not limited to, conducting the EHR system build, system configuration, and support the workflow design. This role will develop and maintain billing documentation in accordance with service management standards, policies, and procedures of the business. The analyst will ensure system design requirements and documentation is synchronized with workflow changes. Analysts will actively participate in all phases and activities related to their scope of work within the SDLC. This role will execute a quality management plan tailored to patient billing This role will participate in operational and integrated workgroups to assess user feedback, gather requirements for configuration, and review / audit system build. The Analyst will meet regularly with team members and project leadership to discuss the status of deliverables, issues, change communications and updates. Analysts will conduct peer review of the work product and troubleshoot problems and questions to maintain a defect-free environment. Analysts will collaborate with end-users, vendor representatives, project leadership, and other teams to ensure the design, build, and implementation is successful and meets the needs of the business. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will have 2 years of medical billing experience preferred OR knowledge of insurance/medical office billing procedures and experience with ICD-10 and CPT codes. You must have some type of billing/EHR for this role. Epic certifications in PB Administration and Charge Router and Dental and 3M work experience is preferred. You will need to get your Epic certification within 3 months of starting. You will have the ability to build relationships and foster collaboration among multiple stakeholders; adaptability and resilience; critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills; exceptional planning and organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to work with diverse groups to meet University-focused objectives. |

Preferred Education/Experience | The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Business Administration, Health Administration and/or Healthcare with a minimum of 5 years of healthcare, information technology, or related experience in medical billing. |
