ARETUM is currently seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join our team for our ArchivesSpace project. As an Applications Engineer at Aretum, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the ArchivesSpace application.

ARETUM is a leading government contracting company specializing in technology solutions and services. We work on a wide range of projects to support our government clients in various domains, including Next Generation Analytics, Engineering Services, Training Services, IT Systems, Cyber Security, PMO Support, and Financial Consulting.

As an Applications Engineer, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of developers, testers, and project managers to deliver innovative and user-friendly software solutions. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the technical architecture and contribute to the overall success of the ArchivesSpace project.

Responsibilities

• Conducting detailed analyses of defined application specifications, designing complex solutions, and writing
• code/configuring software to implement those solutions.
• Preparing associated technical documentation, block diagrams, and logic flowcharts
• Preparing sample test data, conducting testing, and analyzing test results.
• Recommending strategies for debugging program errors and independently performing complex software development tasks.

• FOLIO (or other Integrated Library Platforms)
• XML/JSON/EAD – structure markup languages
• HTML5 / CSS 3

• Microservices

Preferred qualifications:

• Government Contracting Experience
• Knowledge of Scrum Agile development methodologies
• Experience creating a custom website presence
• Familiarity and experience with Section 508 standards
• Experience with IT security
