Job Description:

Events Manager



The Events Manager oversees administrative functions associated with faculty and staff events, professional development workshops, conferences, Board of Visitors, and various graduate and undergraduate student events hosted/organized by the Dean's Office in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. The Events Manager collaborates on budget development and provides oversight of event budgets, marketing, creation of event contracts, and logistics.


Job Summary

Coordinates official events and other events in-person and virtually. Oversees vendors, event components, budget, and event marketing.


Essential Functions

Ability to work independently, manage projects and supervise delegated workload. Maintain accurate databases.

Sustain effective and professional communication.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).


Physical Effort

Position is primarily sedentary except for occasional light lifting related to event set up and tear down. Some travel across campus is required.
