Overview
Job Functions:
Interface with internal customers and management teams in planning for, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting services and systems.
Install, maintain, and support multiple Linux-based servers on physical and virtual platforms in support of program initiatives.
Troubleshoot to address stability of environment, both pre-emptively and reactively.
Maintain a secure computing environment, including adherence to backup schedules, patching, virus updates, and regular security scanning and remediation.
Support both commercial and high-side development and production environments.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within our customer environments.
Perform other duties as necessary.
Participate in on-call schedule; for seven days, Monday-Sunday, once every four weeks.
Responsibilities
Proficiency with Ansible
Experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
Knowledge of Linux distributions, specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 or newer
Strong shell scripting skills
Four (4) years of enterprise Systems Administration experience in a Tier 2/3 operations setting
Qualifications
Demonstrated team leadership and strong soft skills
Understanding of VMWare, specifically vCenter
Experience with enterprise architecture, including networking and VEEAM
Familiarity with cyber security tools such as Qualys, ELK Stack, and MS Defender
Experience with Satellite 5/6
Strong break/fix capability; troubleshooting, deployment, configuration, and maintenance skillset
Must have strong documentation skills, organization skills, and the ability to interact with team members cross-functionally
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organization and project management/project coordination skills
On Call Requirement: Every four weeks, Seven day period, Monday-Sunday
