POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Manager supports the business in ensuring we hire, engage, develop, and retain high performers in the organization. The role will be highly engaged with training and developing site leaders regarding process, employee engagement and improvements to site. This role will focus on labor relations for manufacturing and distribution. This position supports site operations leaders in all areas related to labor.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and have experience in handling a wide range of human resources tasks to support several facilities across DFW metroplex. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, must have excellent attention to detail, is able to work independently with little or no supervision, and enjoys the challenge of supporting a company of diverse people.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee Relations & Engagement:

· Ensure consistent framework in handling all employee related issues. Provide training and training aid to assist managers in dealing with difficult situations.

· Lead all highly sensitive and or high-risk employee relations issues for assigned site.

· Support site operations leaders on performance issues and/or development needs.

· Provide business leaders with key analytics that drive Hire, Retain, Train for the site.

· Assist with managing the engagement survey. Create a brand for the site and Petmate on our workplace and how to make things better.

· Sit on Safety Steering Committee.

· Support Safety Manager on site safety needs.

· Pulse of the organization for your site.

· Provide development and coaching to site leaders on people issues.

· Ensure team implements action plans for site engagement activities.

· Provide site training to supervisors and leaders to build people skills required to lead our future growth.

· Proven record of developing staff to build a team of excellence.


Analytics & Reporting:

· Report on trend analysis on exit interviews.

· Partner with HR Operations groups on site analytics that drive business improvement and employee engagement.

· Support DE&I initiatives.

· Create visibility of people metrics for supervisors and managers.


Hourly Recruitment/Staffing

· Manage vendor relationships-KPI’s, review contracts and ensure solutions that drive retention. Facilitate discussions to improve KPI’s as needed.

· Develop roadmap to develop hourly talent needs within. Partner with groups to bring in programs that supplement talent in critical skilled areas.

· Ownership of career development process within the hourly positions. Look to expand and develop hourly talent in all areas of the business.

· Understand external local markets regarding compensation and benefits with other company. Partner with Director of HR Operations on hourly compensation, job analysis and job descriptions for hourly positions. Ensure consistency in HRIS framework and standards.

· Help facilitate New Hire Orientation.

· Support peers on other engagement and labor projects as needed.


Management/Supervisory:

· This position will have direct supervisory responsibilities and does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions and departments.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION/ REQUIREMENTS


1. Bachelor’s or Associates degree in HR or related field. Certification required.

2. Experience improving employee engagement and supporting the needs of our employees.

3. A minimum 6 years’ experience working in human resources. At least 2 years within a complex manufacturing or distribution, working directly with line leaders and an hourly workforce.

4. Strong experience with MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word).

5. Strong collaborator across multiple locations.

6. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

7. HRIS background, preferably ADP/WFN experience.

8. Customer service focused. Ability to help employees and managers resolve problems and look for win-win solutions.

9. Ability to travel to multiple sites if needed.


Other experience preferred


1. Strong collaborator. Ability to work collectively with Human Resources team.

2. Labor law understanding.

3. Bi-lingual Spanish or Vietnamese

4. Project management experience. Being able to manage tasks, people indirectly to implement initiatives.

5. Strong communication, critical thinking and evaluation, ethical practice, and basic HR experience.

6. People, projects, and technology mindset. Understanding how all these areas work together to improve the overall health of our employees and business.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of HR software; Database software, Word software and Spreadsheet software.
