Job Summary
The Quality Inspector reviews and assists inspection activities to assure compliance with internal, and customer specifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Sets up, adjusts, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments as necessary
Inspects and measure product in accordance with SOP, blueprints, packaging etc.
Validates quality processes by confirming product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification. With the use of SPC charts, trend charts, to ensure product is stable and within dimension and defect tolerance specification
Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies
Keep Lead Tech informed of quality issues that may arise during the course of the shift
Initiate and follow alert procedures. Communicates to production operators, leads, and supervisors issues with product, dimensions, and defects affecting the usability or appearance of product
Ensure product labeling matches product tags throughout the shift
Ensure products are selected for inspections at specified stages in production process
Ensures operators are completing appropriate quality documentation, WinSPC or other, for each line, job number, and product
Update job knowledge by studying trends and developments in quality thru WinSPC or other technical courses
Deliver testing samples to lab when the Lead isn't available
Requirements
Previous quality and/or lab experience
Strong attention to details
Ability to read blueprints
Must be able to utilize measuring instruments such as caliper, tape measure, etc
Excellent math skills as well as written and verbal skills
Communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficient computer skills
