Position Summary:

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Lead a team of Technology Specialists to design and implement solutions that support the strategic digital corporate goals.
  • Guide and mentor technical teams.
  • Oversee and participate in the design, development and implementation of technology.
  • Establish a technical vision for complex, enterprise projects.
  • Sponsor and drive projects, identify risks, and align priorities.
  • Key point of contact for internal customers as it relates to technical solutions.
  • Identify technical risks and platform limitations based on user requirements.
  • Involvement in the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and management of solutions.
  • Ability to present technical concepts across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Assist System Analysts, Network Administrators, and the helpdesk deskside support group with technical support issues.
  • Perform technology vendor selection and analysis.
  • Monitor activities of and coordinates activities with service providers, partners and vendors for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Adheres to system validation plans as required to meet corporate business needs and support the company’s GxP validation requirements.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Requires breadth of professional field and industry knowledge. Ability to integrate critical information and champion advanced strategies/concepts through the organization. Drives development of advanced technologies, principles and processes.
  • Provides direct or indirect supervision to a group of employees, assigning tasks and checking work at frequent intervals. Accountabilities include work and people scheduling, performance management and recommendations for hiring decisions.
  • Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.

Technical Requirements-

  • 5+ years of experience leading a team of Network and Voice Engineers and Network Architects
  • Solid technical skill and experience/extensive exposure on various network and voice infrastructure and a hands-on leader with Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Oversee and assess vendor partnerships, negotiate contracts, and manage the IT infrastructure budget with a strategic financial acumen
  • Extensive knowledge of data center management, network operations, IT vendor management, and process improvement techniques
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Cisco networking systems including, Switches, stacking technology and IOS upgrade, Routers, Wireless controllers, Access, network monitoring and management systems such as Cisco ISE.
  • Strong knowledge of Local and Wide Area networking fundamentals and TCPIP including strong working knowledge of VPN and routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and traffic optimization QOS
  • Experience with Firewall and Load balancer systems a plus. Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of IT security best practices and process automation with respect to Network, Firewall and Voice systems
  • Experience with SDN and SDWAN technologies and experience with Velocloud SDWAN is a plus
  • Experience with Public Cloud services and related networking architecture especially with Azure Cloud
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams Telephony and Genesys Contact center is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices for IT networking design including IT security framework.
  • Working knowledge of Vmware ESXi networking, Windows server and client operating systems.
  • Experience managing Conference Room A/V systems and working with facilities team for managing data center power and cooling requirements is a plus
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with peers, management, business groups, customers, contractors, consultants and vendors. Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, Office365, including Word, Excel, Visio, Project and PowerPoint.
  • Must have strong project management skills, including excellent organizational, documentation, time management and communication skills.
  • Experience of GxP, knowledge of Validation and compliance are essential
  • Life Sciences or Healthcare industry experience preferred

Target Based Range

$149,100 to $159,100

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10-15 years related experience, plus a minimum of 5 years management experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Frequent business travel required, Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed, On-call hours as needed
