American Welding & Gas, Inc. has an immediate opening for aFulltime Counter Representative Driverin our Tullahoma,TNlocation.
Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred or the ability to obtain both
This position is responsible for helping customers purchase and order products focusing on gases and welding/industrial supplies. Duties will also include maintaining hard goods, receiving, inventory control and product delivery
Duties:
Delivery Responsibilities (you will be delivering for approximately one week each month):
Load, unload, move, and store gas and liquid cylinders and other hard goods.
Make deliveries to customers or other branches.
Fill out delivery tickets completely and accurately.
Ensure appropriate preparation, completion and accuracy of paperwork including shipping papers and delivery tickets.
Maintain the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.
Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
Move, load, and unload empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Counter Sales Responsibilities:
Assist walk-in customers with their needs and provide product information.
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
Manage inventory levels and restock shelves as necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized sales counter area.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Assist in the preparation of quotes and orders for customers.
Ensure all sales and customer interactions are conducted in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Class B CDL requires Hazmat endorsement or the ability to obtain both requirement.
Clean driving record.
Ability to read and write English.
Ability to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.).
Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment, and company-administered road test.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
Experience in sales or customer service is a plus.
