Description: Our beverage manufacturing client is currently seeking a Sr Supply Chain Manager for their operations in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area. The Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize process efficiency and productivity. This role plays a crucial part in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and extensive experience in supply chain management.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business objectives.
Optimize end-to-end supply chain processes, from procurement to delivery.
Operations Management:
Manage day-to-day supply chain operations, including inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
Oversee logistics, including transportation, shipping, and receiving.
Vendor Management:
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Performance Metrics:
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance.
Implement corrective actions to address performance gaps.
Cost Management:
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain.
Manage the supply chain budget effectively.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior role.
Food and beverage manufacturing experience highly preferred
Strong understanding of supply chain processes and best practices.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficient in supply chain management software and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
