Corporate Quality Engineer (Management Systems)

Summary
The Quality Engineer is responsible for the development, application, and maintenance of quality requirements/standards. This position will focus on preparing the organization for ISO (IATF, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 14001, and C-TPAT) audits for multi-location organization. The Quality Engineer is critical in ensuring that our products and processes meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This position will report to the Quality Manager.

Essential Functions

Oversee, develop, and implement Management System(s) changes.Develop and maintain a comprehensive internal audit plan.Execute internal audits according to the established plan.Address non-conformities from previous internal and external audits, ensuring corrective action documentation and implementation.Evaluate corrective actions from internal and external audits and customer complaints.Ensure the availability and accuracy of documentation for internal and external audits.Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements related to the applicable standards.Create and oversee the training programs required by the applicable standards.Provide support and host external audits.Monitor complaints, ensure timely correction, and apply corrective actions across other sites where applicable.Support purchasing by evaluating and auditing suppliers.Manage assigned projects, including improvements and new launches.Support facility Quality Engineer team(s) as required.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk for four or more hours at a time. The employee will regularly be required to grasp, grip, and reach and may occasionally be required to lift 51 pounds, anything greater than 51 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
This job is performed in a combination of office and warehouse environment(s). When working inside the warehouse this will be a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses and vests are required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full Time, Exempt. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.

Travel
Regular travel of 25% with occasional travel up to 60%.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, a related technical field or equivalent work experience.5+ years of work experience in at least one Management Systems (QMS, ISMS, EMS, C-TPAT, IATF preferred), including internal audit certification and exposure to external audits.Proven ability to ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.Demonstrated Leadership skills with the ability to effectively delegate work to co-workers, and the ability to positively influence performance.Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office and Outlook.
