Position Overview:

We are looking for a reliable, dynamic, hands-on, self-starter Engineering, Maintenance, Reliability, Automation (EMRA) Manager to oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the company’s facilities, machinery and equipment. You will be the one to ensure that your colleagues have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget.

A great EMRA Manager will have a solid understanding of facilities, machinery and electrical systems, boilers, machine shop operations, as well as other crafts. They will be well-versed in all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations. They will excel in creative solution implementations and have a mindset of continuous improvement.  The ideal candidate will also have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, CAPEX management, budgeting etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Phase 1


  • Develop Facilities maintenance and housekeeping roadmap, procedures and ensure implementation (multiple locations).

  • Staff supervision, monitoring, training and development. 

  • Liaise with Operations group to coordinate strategies in support of operations.

  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.

  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.

  • Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.

  • Manage relationships with contractors, service providers, and regulators.

  • Keep maintenance logs and report on activities in daily cross functional Production Meeting.

  • Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.

  • Other skills and duties as assigned.

Phase 2


  • Develop Operations & Line maintenance roadmap, procedures and ensure implementation.

 

 

 

 

Skills and Qualifications:


  • 2 to 4-year Degree required or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience in a managerial role.

  • Understanding of preventive maintenance.

  • Understanding of the fundamentals of electrical PLC components. Certification will be advantageous.

  • Experience in planning maintenance operations (Must).

  • Experience in pharma, health, personal care, and beauty industries will be advantageous (Not a must).

  • Experience with DI water systems (desired, not a must).

  • Desirable experience with CMS desirable. 

  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of electrical systems, etc.

  • Solid understanding of boilers.

  • Solid knowledge of machine shop operations.

  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.

  • Ability to keep track of and report on activity.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Bilingual English / Spanish desirable (desired, but not a must).

  • Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will be a plus

  • Ability to work efficiently under tight timelines and achieve results, while maintaining high quality

  • Outstanding organizational, teamwork, customer service and leadership skills
