WHAT OUR TEAM DOES WITHIN THE ACADEMY

The Evaluation Systems unit collaborates with the Evaluation Development unit to form the Evaluation Team within the Strategies and Outcomes Division. Together, we support the Academy's strategy and highlight the impact of its programs. The Evaluation Systems unit serves all Academy for Professional Excellence programs, overseeing the implementation and management of evaluation data and systems. Our responsibilities include programming surveys on our online platform, distributing surveys, ensuring quality assurance, reporting, analyzing data, visualizing data, and creating and maintaining data dashboards.



Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE IN REVOLUTIONIZING THE WAY PEOPLE WORK

The Evaluation Systems Analyst is responsible for providing evaluation services to all Academy for Professional Excellence programs, including programming/distribution of surveys, quality assurance of data, creation/maintenance of data dashboards, and data analysis.

THE WORK YOU WILL DO

You will be responsible for:

  • Advanced-level survey and dashboard creation, programming, and distribution.

  • Manage and track requests for support via the Zoho ticketing system.

  • Oversee maintenance of data collection forms (feedback surveys, needs assessments, pre/post assessments, etc.) including distribution of surveys and problem-solving of any issues with surveys.

  • Maintain databases; gather, organize, analyze, provide reporting, and interpret data.

  • Perform frequent data quality assurance tasks to ensure accurate data collection, transfer, archiving, maintenance, analysis, and communication across programs.

  • Conduct data monitoring, data clean-ups for data dashboards and surveys, and the maintenance of procedures.

  • Extract and manipulate secondary data from online sources.

HOW WE ACCOMPLISH OUR WORK

This is a 40-hour-a-week, full-time position based on contract funding subject to annual renewal and requires you live in California. You will be working remotely out of the Academy’s San Diego or Riverside office with occasional travel to Academy offices or off-site events as required.

Note: some duties may include working with and/or exposure to sensitive/traumatic topics or material dealing with child abuse, elder abuse, and/or issues and scenarios related to mental health, substance use, or racism.

As a project of San Diego State University Research Foundation, the Academy is grant-funded and serves as an auxiliary to the University. We are based near, but not on campus, and do not have direct responsibilities for working with or teaching college students.



Qualifications



THE SKILLS NEEDED

You will thrive in the position if you have/are:

  • Experience in online survey platforms such as Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, REDCap, etc., as well as dashboard systems.
  • Experience in collecting, monitoring, manipulating, and reporting survey data.
  • Previous experience using SPSS or similar statistical software.
  • Previous experience working with Learning Management Systems and Training Management Systems.
  • Fluency in using standard office software packages for report preparation, presentation designs, and other work products as needed, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and relate well to others.
  • Ability to foster relationships with others that reflects our vision of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Organized and able to meet deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications (MQs)

MINIMUM EDUCATION

Equivalent to a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

5-years of progressively responsible experience performing varied or specialized administrative and analytical duties and/or service as a program administrator.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU HAVE

  • Previous experience conducting and/or supporting program evaluation for health and human service programs.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented principles.
