Job Title: Legal Assistant - Medical Malpractice Defense
Location: West Palm Beach, FL (100% in-office)
Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant experienced in Medical Malpractice Defense in West Palm Beach.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal support to a senior partner, focusing on medical malpractice defense cases
Prepare and manage legal documents, pleadings, and exhibits
E-file documents with courts and coordinate with opposing counsel
Schedule hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings
Manage calendars, set reminders, and ensure timely filing and service of documents
Coordinate and prepare for Zoom meetings and other virtual proceedings
Maintain accurate records, files, and databases
Perform legal research and cite-checking as needed
Collaborate with other legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys as required
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, with a focus on medical malpractice Defense cases
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal software, and e-filing systems
Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively
High attention to detail and accuracy
Familiarity with legal procedures, rules, and protocols
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
