Your Key Responsibilities

Initiates and coordinates the activities surrounding Advanced Product Quality Planning.

Attend meetings of new and/or changed products, review and develop the appropriate control plans using the process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and AIAG checklist to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Assist in preparation of PPAP submission requirements.

Participate on 8D Problem Solving Teams. 5 why analysis.

Assist on any special projects, sample, customer complaints, and manufacturing problems which are quality related.

Assists Quality Manager and Segment Leader with resolution of customer issues: assists with containment, leads problem solving teams, performs/coordinates analysis of defects to include product measurement, gage set-up, and record reviews.

Conducts process audits, including corrective action verifications and LPAs.

Assist in preparation for any internal/external audits.

Support preparation for TS 16949 audit

Your Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science.
  • Basic knowledge in Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments.
  • Computer skills (Excel, Power point, Word).
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's Degree in related Sciences and/or experience in a quality related field.
  • Knowledgeable in TS 16949 / ISO 9001 Technical Specification
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints as well as familiar with geometric characteristics and symbols.
  • Must have good Computer skills and knowledge. (Especially Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, QS-Stat)
  • Planning and Control Plans (AIAG Manual).
  • Trained in Statistical Process Control and able to apply statistical techniques to Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility Studies, Process Capability Studies, DOE and control charts.
  • Understands proper set-up, mastering and plausibility of gaging equipment.
  • Trained in problem solving methodology and able to organize and lead problem solving teams.
  • Proficient in a wide variety of gauging techniques including standard measuring equipment: optical comparators, form-measuring equipment, surface finish analysis.
  • Experience with PFMEA software (preferably IQFMEA)
  • Knowledge of AIAG manuals (PPAP, APQP, QSA, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process control (SPC), FMEA) and related industry standards
  • Experience in CMM programming
  • Experience in ERP, preferably SAP
